Joshua Howlett has released the video to his latest single Dover, a taster of what is yet to come in the release of his debut album Autumnal February this year. The track contains a blissful blend of riffs, rustic vocals and folk-indie sounds that can best be compared to Ben Howard and Ed Sheeran. The track brings with it a feeling of tranquil transcendence, perfect for those slow mornings or evening wind downs.
Growing up in both a British and Swiss culture, Joshua takes the music from his British homeland and marries it with the peaceful, breathtaking vistas of his new home in Montreux. Fairly new to the music scene, Joshua has previously released singles Slow Dance, Chrismassy Folk Song and Nicer View and continues to replicate the freeing experience that his forest and mountainous surroundings elicit in his music.
In the track Joshua continues to exhibit depth in his lyrics, as he talks of real experiences, anxiety, love and change – building a strong relationship between song and listener. The EP release of Autumnal will be supported by live performances, giving Joshua opportunity to display his loop pedal and vocaliser skills and of course his hugely engaging personality.
