The ‘cool uncle of house music’ Matt Warren is back with the release of his single Get On Up, taken from his forthcoming album Music is My Life. With insistence on using real musicians on his tracks, the DJ provides raw intense instrumentals combined with rhythmic beats and persistent bassline. Being part of the beginnings of the Chicago House movement in the 1980’s, Matt demonstrates his talent to send the club scene into raptures in his latest album release.

One of house music’s most enduring DJs, remixers and producers, Matt Warren has assembled a supporting cast which, rather like the finest disco bands of the scene, actually perform alongside the traditional synthesised rhythms and beats. These include vocalists Pepper Gomez and Elena Andujar; soul diva Janis McGee; jazz bassist Wes Nelson and Grammy-nominated trumpeter, Ron Haynes.

With the video to his latest track being screened on MTV, VHS and BET Jams, the stompin’ single has already lit up the American electronic, Latin and Hip-Hop Charts and has spent 2 weeks at number one in the DRT Indie Chart in America. The infectious and absorbing beats of the track is one that is impossible not to get up and move to and coming from one of the original heroes of the Nu House genre, the album is sure to become a classic of dance music – a certified glitter track for us!!
