Effortlessly cool indie rap artist Dylan Cartlidge started off booking small gigs in his North-East hometown and has since gone on to perform alongside Jamie T and has gained approval from NME, Annie Mac and more. His new track ‘Cheerleader’ is the ideal summer earworm with witty lyrics, punchy beats and catchy choruses.
Bringing us our fix of dreamy harmonies we have Anna Straker who has taken a break from her usual upbeat pop hits to bring us her stunning new single ‘London Knows’. Bryony Dunn’s new single ‘Swimsuit Royalty’ is the perfect track to add to your chill out playlist due to it’s gorgeous harmonies that crescendo towards the end, gentle piano and beautiful lyrics. Fans of indie-folk favourites Phoebe Bridgers and SOAK are sure to find a new favourite in Bryony’s five track EP ‘Things That Almost Happened’.
Drawing inspiration from childhood stories, Sofia aim to use their music to tell a narrative that is sure to leave an impact on the listener. This is definitely achieved in their track ‘Stranger’ which sets relatable lyrics to addictive indie-rock beats, I could imagine this one going down a storm at a live show.
Finally we have four piece electronic group Tora who hail from Byron Bay, Australia with their new single ‘Paramount’. This track is a real earworm due to it’s electronic beats, laid back vibe catchy hooks that I just can’t get out of my head. If you like the idea of a chilled out electro-indie hybrid, you’re sure to love this one.
