Hot on the heels of her debut single, Coke & Mentos, which has been played on radio stations around the world, Sydney singer-songwriter Tia Beale’s debut five-track EP, TIA, has now been released on streaming sites, and on CD. The EP was recorded in collaboration with music industry veteran Steve Clisby (who has jammed with Jimi Hendrix and played alongside Kool & The Gang and Chaka Khan), and who also acted as producer.
Tia’s EP traverses a variety of genres, from the gentle balladry of Do It Over to the dance floor pop of Coke & Mentos, synth and syncopated beats of Synergy, and hip-hop-flavoured Keep On Coming Back. The forthcoming single is Do It Over, a track which is a sad song dressed up as a happy one; it speaks lyrically of the devastating loss of a close friend of Tia’s to suicide.
The young singer studied at Sydney’s Australian Institute of Music (AIM) with initial dreams of becoming an actress, something imminent in her performance in the stunning video for Do It Over:
Lockdown due to the COVID19 pandemic may have led to her EP live launch being postponed but it has also led to a new burst of creativity from Tia; who hopes to announce her new release plans very soon!
Also featured on the EP is a remix of Tia’s track, Keep on Coming Back, featuring the talents of Chew Fu, known for his production and remix work on megastars such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Mariah Carey. Tia is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal, available to purchase digitally from Google Play and iTunes, and the CD is available via MGM distribution.
