The 67th Annual Grammy Awards took center stage on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, delivering a night filled with groundbreaking wins, emotional performances, and unforgettable fashion statements. Hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth consecutive year, the ceremony celebrated the best music released between September 16, 2023, and August 30, 2024.

Historic Wins and First-Time Achievements

One of the biggest moments of the night came when Beyoncé made history as the first Black woman to win Album of the Year since Lauryn Hill in 1999. Her album Cowboy Carter also earned her the Best Country Album award, making her the first Black artist to win in this category.

Kendrick Lamar also had a monumental night, with his song Not Like Us winning Record of the Year and Song of the Year. This win cemented his place as only the second rap artist to claim both awards in one night, following Childish Gambino’s success in 2019.

In the Best New Artist category, Chappell Roan took home the award, using her acceptance speech to call for fairer treatment of artists by record labels.

25 year old pop star Camilla Cabello has shared her upset after football fans obnoxiously sang over her during her first Champions League Final Performance in Paris on Saturday. Sharing that she thinks they were ‘very rude’, viral videos have shared that footballs fans had drowned out the singers performance with chanting and shouting unrelated to the singers performance.

Online, Cabello shared on her twitter that she was in shock that people were just chanting their teams anthems over the musical break. Expressing that her team worked “tirelessly for so long to bring right vibes and a good show”, she ended her tweet saying “Very rude but whatever” and then thanked her fans for saying that they loved the showcase. She soon after deleted this tweet and then chose to re-uploaded in a brighter fashion whilst saying it was an event that she will never forget.

The performance was electric with colourful costuming, unison dance elements and powerful punches of her fan favourite hits. Dressed in an angelic white Spanish inspired outfit, Camilla was carried onto the pitch by brightly dressed dancers. Playing hits from her new album alongside classics such as ‘Señorita’ and ‘Havana’, Camilla took the continual chanting in her stride and still managed to share a beautifully represented performance for all to remember.
