“Uber talented” – Young Entertainment
Börni has already achieved more in one pop lifetime than most can dream of, from huge TV exposure, glowing reports from the likes of Hello! and Billboard to working with megastars like Sean Kingston and Celine Dion but New Heights is the music she’s always dreamed of making. New Heights really does signal new beginnings, a brilliant combination of effervescent pop, dance and urban cool, it’s the futuristic sound that makes Börni THE star to watch in 2020!
Börni (pronounced Boer-ni) has already enjoyed incredible success in her music career – from her early garage rock beginnings, through to emo and hiphop, she has always been impossible to pin down in terms of style but New Heights is the first time she feels she is really showing the world the music she wants to share. Born and raised in Zürich, Switzerland, where she splits her time spent in Los Angeles, Börni found her passion for music at an early age, first singing and playing the violin and later the piano and guitar. From singing in gospel choirs and learning to write and perform her own songs in her first garage rock band, she has performed in front of huge audiences worldwide, including being picked to sing background with Celine Dion in a huge stadium in front of almost 50,000 people.

In 2007, Börni competed in the national Swiss show, Musicstar, where her performance led her to ink a record deal with Sony Music. While with Sony, she was able to create and release two albums, Fighter (2008), which made the Swiss music charts’ Top 10 and Plan B, whilst working alongside some of the most successful producers in Switzerland and four-time Grammy-nominated song-writer and producer,
Linda Perry. Her time in America led to the creation of an American brand and alter-ego that would serve this style and music – Vava Voom! Börni teamed up with supergroup The Aristocrats and recording artist Sean Kingston to release her hit single, Supersonic, which received international airplay across the States and Europe, not to mention brand partnerships with G Shock and Adidas.
Still feeling her own music remained buried inside her, the REAL Börni was born, seeing her own identity as a fresh, young, uniquely cool artist while still maintaining her roots in her home country of Switzerland. With the release of power anthem New Heights, she feels now is the perfect time to announce her re-emergence as the recording artist Börni. This year, she will continue releasing music under her true name and identity, gaining more global fans and introducing her unconventional, unapologetic and infectious style.
