John Mayer, Diana Krall, Quincy Jones, Joey Kramer (Aerosmith), Brad Whithford (Aerosmith), Imagine Dragons, Steve Vai, Dream Theater, Chaka Khan and Charlie Puth are just a handful of the amazing alumni from Berklee College of Music. And now Lucas Tadini is hoping he can be added to the list as he releases his debut album ‘Collective Delusion’ later this year.
Born in Brazil to Italian parents, Tadini has had a multicultural background that he is using to inspire his music in his debut album as well as the experiences from Berklee College of Music. Having played in a number of bands growing up across his hometown of Sao Paulo and more recently in LA, allowing him to hone his skills as a singer, keyboardist and guitarist, as well as his production and arrangements.
Tadini’s first single from his debut album, ‘The Arsonist’ is his first venture as a solo artist and ‘is about setting one’s old self on fire (therefore the arsonist) in order to start fresh, kind of like a Phoenix’ in Tadini’s own words.
Tadini’s next single ‘Welcome Back to Freedom’ is set to be released at the end of June and addresses his mental health struggles and how he has overcome them in recent times. We can’t wait to hear this new tune as well as the rest of the album which is due out in September and see how far Tadini can go as he looks to join his fellow Berklee College of Music alumni in the grammy award winning hall of fame.
