Already hailed as local heroes in Sussex, Noble Jacks are back with their second album Stay Awake on March 29th – a perfect antidote in the face of the Brexit gloom. First and foremost a rock band, Noble Jacks spread the traditions and roots of their locality throughout their album. With rustic sing-along choruses, upbeat acoustic melodies and the lead of the fiddle in four of their album tracks, the band offer a musical treat for fans of the likes of Mumford and Sons and Ben Howard.

Having played at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight Festival, Bestival and Cambridge Folk Festival over the last two years, Noble Jacks have already garnered a name as one the country’s “good time” bands. With tracks paying tribute for local blacksmiths and farriers, their emphasis on locality radiates a real love for their home county – standing out proud in a time where the nation is at a divide.

The Brighton guys are a collective that resemble a “folk” band not in the musical sense, but in the way that the music brings others together. With their forthcoming single ‘Rely on Love’ being released on February 8th and their album launch gig at Brighton’s celebrated Concorde 2 already heading for a sell-out, Noble Jacks are certainly a band to provide our well-needed euphoric vibes this year.
