The London Django Collective Are Set To Perform At Festival of French Jazz 27th November 2022

In celebration of the influence that European jazz has had on the global music industry, Actors Church is hosting the London Django Collective to play at the Festival of French Jazz on Sunday 27th November 2022. 

Opening doors at 7.30, audiences are invited to join some of the best players that have been at the forefront of London’s Gypsy Jazz scene perform as part of the Actors’ Church. The Festival of French Jazz was set to host three events showcasing the most influential jazzers of all time, with Sunday’s performance being the third. Featuring musicians such as Django Reinhardt, Richard Galliano, and Stephane Grapelli, the leading British musicians have created a unique and joyous show that compliments the 400 year old acoustics of the ‘Actors’ Church’ perfectly. With its historic association with the theater community of London’s west end, there is no better place to host this musical evening. 

The London Django Collective is known as a collaboration between several of London’s foremost musicians who are all at the top of their field in the genre of ‘Gypsy Jazz’. Regularly selling-out famous venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, these globally toured musicians have created a magical show that showcases the many talents that will be featuring. With a desire to create a community for musicians, The London Django Collective was founded by Django Reinhardt. The evening will feature compositions that take influence from contemporary music and the thriving jazz scene, with added flare and personality. 

After releasing five two-track EP’s, each led by a member of the collective, the collective has an understanding of how to best combine their musicality to create a show that is unmissable. Showcasing their individual take on the vibrant European style of jazz, the last London Django Collective performance at the Actors Church will take place on the 27th November.
