Singer-Songwriter Senti Updates A Classic Style With Contemporary Flair

Considering where he’s ended up, you might be surprised to learn that Scottish singer-songwriter Senti began his musical journey as a head-banging metal artist at the age of twelve. An encounter with Spanish culture, particularly flamenco, caused an about-turn which, ultimately, has led to new single “He She It,” a romantic, Latin-inspired song developed from a poem which Senti wrote to the woman he loved.

“He She It” is a stylish and classy update on classic crooner territory, with some lovely nuanced touches. The rolling Latin feel adds much, and Senti’s vocals are perfect for this genre. Equally impressive is that Senti handled all the instruments here, including some lovely classical guitar. This is a track which pulls of the notable feat of having broad appeal across the age-spectrum.

As a junior doctor, understandably, Senti had to put his musical dreams on hold over the last year of so, in face of the global pandemic. Now, though, he’s very much back on track. “He She It” is full of old-school charm but with an admirably progressive mentality.

Says the artist himself: “The song is essentially a stand against toxic mentality in modern love and to say that other people’s opinions don’t matter. All that matters is that you’re happy together…”
