The concept for UBU was originally conceived by Trinchillo and fellow artist Mattia Mercuriali as a side project to their band Amycanbe. However, it quickly grew into a platform for other musicians to freely create and collaborate. With Trinchillo at the helm, the collective flourished, resulting in the recording of the self-titled album. The production process took two years and was completed by UBU and Franco Naddei at ‘L’Amor Mio Non Muore’ studio in Forli, Italy. 

Unfortunately, tragedy struck before the mixing was finished, and Trinchillo passed away at the age of 41 from cardiac arrest. UBU’s album serves as a tribute to Trinchillo’s life and artistic legacy, showcasing his influence and inspiration in every track. A gifted drummer and photographer, he had a unique way of nurturing and guiding young artists, leaving a lasting impact on the music and visual arts scene.
