Galvo’s Debut Album ‘The HeARTist’ to Release June 1st!
Dublin-based artist Galvo is set to make waves across the indie-folk landscape with the release of his highly-anticipated debut album, The HeARTist.
Lead single, ‘Getting Better’, is a stirring, emotive cut that is certain to reel in fans of the likes of Elliot Smith, Billy Corgan, Radical Face and Sufjan Stevens alike. For Galvo, the album is a product of a hard-fought journey to self-discovery. Having had a difficult upbringing, rife with violence, he has experienced many a struggle.
His career has evolved drastically, having moved to London and set up a Pakistani Hip Hop label, even going on as far as being a Knight on the Vale of HBO’s Game of Thrones.
‘Getting Better’ encapsulates this struggle, with a message of self-improvement, optimism and courage. Musically, the single is an indication of what to expect from the rest of the album; Galvo’s soft vocals harmonising over acoustic guitar and rousing percussion.
