Singer-songwriter, Crabb, is here with his latest single ‘Mykonos’, which is set to drop on January 25th. The lead single from his upcoming album, ‘English American’, it’s a brilliant teaser for what’s to come on the rest of the album. The last project undertaken by producer Steve Brown before his untimely passing, who had previously worked with the likes of Wham, Freddie Mercury and Elton John. After Brown’s passing, Steve Lilywhite CBE, who is a six-time Grammy winner, filled in and helped finish off the album. With production from some industry legends and an abundance of talent from Crabb, you simply cannot afford to miss this!
Serving as a love letter to his wife as well as the lead single from his upcoming album, ‘Mykonos’ is a brilliant track that demonstrates fantastic command of vocals and guitar, with the two dovetailing together to give an intimate acoustic sound that is instantly appealing. The song also comes with an accompanying music video, which pairs Crabb’s music with a performance from contemporary dancer, Tess Howell, who performs in London’s Langdon Centre, with the venue chosen due to its association with the Downs Syndrome Association on behalf of the ‘Mykonos’ engineer, whose daughter is a performer with downs syndrome.
‘Mykonos’ is a teaser for Crabb’s full album ‘English American’, which is due to drop January 25th. The album has been 20 years in the making, with a relationship with initial producer Steve Brown kicking off the project in the mid-90s. Crabb and Brown became close friends having both worked at Sony EMI together, and throughout this time, the recorded tracks that would later become the framework for ‘English American’. With immense talent within and behind the music, you simply cannot afford to miss Crabb’s debut album.
