Need some new music to bop your head to? You need to know about Da Exiles! A South-London duo who are seeking to ignite a UK hip-hop revolution, touching on subjects such as their own personal struggles and hardships, as well as showing the way to a better life. The duo, Harb Salaam and Mo Striker, are here with their debut single, ‘Never Stop Believing’, due to drop later this month on February 24th, this single is one that you cannot miss.

Rather creatively, they’ve made beats our of vocals, as to allow Muslims and non-Muslims to be able to listen to their music. The beat itself is fantastic, opening up with vocals that will have you on the edge of your seat before a thumping beatbox sample allows Mo Striker to kick us off. With a smooth flow that rides the beat perfectly, Striker tells a story of his past, acknowledging his struggles and how he turned to God for guidance while stuck in his surroundings. A story of the come up in Striker’s own life, it’s quickly followed by Harb Salaam, who has his own story of struggle and success. With a pivot in rap style from Striker, who has clear UK influence in his sound, Harb Salaam brings a US fusion to a UK sound with ease, with his lyrics and flow sounding like it belongs in the glory days of US hip-hop.

Both artists tell a story of struggle turned success, using unbelievable rhyming patterns and smooth flows to tell their story. A unique beat that provides the backing for a message that needs to be heard, ‘Never Stop Believing’ is a single that you need to hear.
