Apache Rose are the Russian Indie Rock band everyone’s talking about. With extensive radio play, over 10,000 Facebook followers and over a quarter of a million YouTube views on their latest single, they’re quickly growing a global fanbase and taking the world by storm, and we can see why. Their catchy, melodic style is effortlessly cool and easy to listen to, seamlessly blending the addictive nature of the Beatles with the laid-back swagger of The Strokes.
The band is built around Iyla Novokhatskiy who writes, sings and produces their songs and was raised on American rock music before falling in love with 90s alternative and grunge. He names Aerosmith, Guns and Roses and Soundgarden as sources of inspiration and when asked about his writing process he said:
We always write the music first and then the lyrics. That way the music provides the emotional fuel for lyric-writing. And often words just come out of my mouth being driven by the song.

Luckily for us, their new single ‘Blind Spot’ comes out on the 29th May and we promise this is a release you won’t want to miss. The song is a ‘tribute’ to reckless taxi drivers and has an overarching theme of being careful to avoid situations you can’t control. It’s the perfect mix of conceptual lyrics and laid-back melodies while still building into a punchy chorus that you can’t help but want to dance along to. Due to it’s catchy nature, it’s an extremely accessible track that is likely to appeal to a huge range of listeners while still being a hit with indie fanatics, we could definitely see it going down a treat at Festivals.
You can click here to pre-save ‘Blind Spot’ on Spotify to make sure you’re the first to know when it’s released. While you’re waiting, check out their other tracks ‘Attention!’, ‘Hit me’ and ‘Tiny Love’ on SoundCloud and make sure to keep an eye on their social media as they have teased that they have a lot of good things coming this year, and we don’t doubt it.
