The multi-instrumentalist, VCage, has just released his debut single ‘Slam Me’, which highlights a subject that is often considered taboo in society, although it really shouldn’t be – violence and abuse committed against men by women. VCage himself sadly experienced a toxic relationship that developed into abuse and he hopes to help others realise that they’re not alone in their suffering with ‘Slam Me’.
The overarching and inspiring message is that it’s right to speak out and act against abuse of all kinds, whatever your gender or background. As a victim of psychological abuse and blackmail from his former partner, VCage bravely tackles these issues in ‘Slam Me’ to give a voice to others that are in similar situations.
VCage was born in Mexico and now lives in Los Angeles, however, his music is set to resonate with people worldwide. He combines a raw, emotional rock dynamic with a melodic heart to project stories that many people worldwide will, unfortunately, relate to.
Constructed with his own skills as a multi-instrumentalist, a loop station and even samples of pizza boxes (!), VCage is an artist who transcends genre to bring music to the very centre of how we live our lives.
